Abstract

1315280 Reciprocating pumps E SCHUMM 15 March 1972 [1 Dec 1971] 11928/72 Heading F1A A dispenser for liquid soap or other liquids comprises a reservoir 5 supporting a replaceable bottle 8 and detachably mounted on a wallengaging member 1, a pump cylinder 20 being integral with reservoir 5 and having a piston 19 actuated by a knob 21 against a spring 22, the user's hand engaging a handle 6 while pressing knob 21, so that the liquid is discharged on to the hand from outlet 30. Piston 19 controls inlet port 28, and has an outlet port 32 alignable with outlet 31. In Fig. 4 (not shown), a check value in the outlet prevents drip. A cover 3 is located on member 1 by a spring-loaded catch 43 releaseable by a key 50, Figs. 1, 3 and 5 (not shown). A window 38 enables viewing of the reservoir contents and has a working 39 for indicating when bottle 8 is empty. An ash tray 62 is provided on top of the casing.
