Abstract

1313957 Plant culture medium RHONEPOULENC-TEXTILE 13 Nov 1970 [14 Nov 1969] 54226/70 Heading C1B A process for improving the agrarian quality of soil comprises adding thereto a pulp based on a synthetic thermoplastic material which is insoluble in water at ambient temperature. By pulp is meant the amorphous fibrillar, product obtained by precipitation from a solution by passing the solution into a non-solvent which is miscible with the solvent used. The invention also comprises plant culture media comprising a pulp (as above) and soil, sand, peat, heather mould, compost and/or fertilizer. Specified polymers are polyamides, polyesters, vinyl polymers, acrylonitrile polymers and polyolefines; in particular poly (hexamethylene adipamide).
