Abstract
1313079 Stabilized soft drink MERK & CO Inc 13 Sept 1971 [18 Sept 1970] 42622/71 Heading A2D A soft drink contains a food colour and or vitamin C and an amount of tartrazine sufficient to stabilize the vitamin C and exert a protective effect on the food colour. The tartrazine may be added along with vitamin C and/or a beverage dye to flavoured water to constitute a beverage. Examples illustrate the above in respect of grape juice concentrate, punch, and orange juice preparation.
