Abstract

1313059 Transferring electrophotographic images FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [20 Feb 1970] 22984/71 Heading B6C At least a portion 21 of an electrophotographic image comprising heat-softenable resin is transferred from a photoconductive member 1 to a film bearing a heat-sensitive adhesive coating 31 at a temperature at which the resin but not the coating is softened, whereafter the film is secured to a final support 4 at a temperature above the softening point of the coating, either the film or the support being transparent. The resin may have a softening point below 90‹ C. The coating may have a softening point of about 100‹ C. The photoconductive member, which has a low adhesion surface, may be coated with a silicone or fluorocarbon resin. Examples of photoconductive member, toner, transfer film, coating therefor, and final support are given.
