Abstract
1312517 Air conditioning units RIELLO CONDIZIONATORISAS 28 July 1970 [7 Aug 1969] 36459/70 Heading F4V [Also in Division F1] An air conditioning unit comprises a casing having walls 22, 20 each with an air inlet and an air outlet and associated with an evaporator 32 and a condenser 30 of a refrigeration system, and two centrifugal flow impellers 38, 40 arranged back to back on either side of a partition 10 which divides the apparatus into a hot and cold section, each impeller having vanes whose leading edges 50 spiral about the axis of the impeller. The unit includes ducts 64, 61 which are detachable from the casing whereby the casing may be rotated through 180 degrees to reverse the functions of the hot and cold sections. A filter spans the room air inlet and outlet. The hot and cold sections may be communicated with one another via air passages controlled by valves 80 and 81.
