1312060 Boots &c P CRISTOFANELLI and L COVINI '[trading as FABRICA ARTICOLI SPORTIVI COBER] 5 May 1970 [28 May 1969 14 April 1970] 21557/70 Heading A3B [Also in Division A6] A ski safety attachment has front and rear rod-shaped displaceable members located in the side of the ski-boot to cooperate with fixed members connected to the ski, with resilient means, which may be adjustably compressed by control means operable from outside the sole, acting between the displaceable members. In the figures, front and rear members 2, 3 fixed to ski 1 have bores 2b, 3b receiving displaceable members 8, 9, 10 projecting from sole 4 of ski-boot 5. Springs 11, 12, 13 acting via displaceable members 18, 14, bias members 8, 9, 10 into bores 2b, 3b so that an abnormal force will free the boot from the ski if necessary. The boot may also be freed by means of lever 19b and studs 19a. The boot 5 may have a lightweight sole 5a to permit the sole 4 containing members 8, 9, 10 &c. to be left attached to the ski. Other embodiments using different resilient means are described and shown.
