Abstract

A sole plate(1) is rigidly fixed to the ski and has a fixed pin(3) extending from it. The pin has a longitudinally extending flat(33). A body(4) is mounted on the pin so that it is only free to pivot to either side. A piston(6) can slide in the body and is urged by a spring(8) against the pin. The plug(9) adjusts the spring load. A slider(10) is connected to the piston and can slide on the body. One end of slider(10) is shaped to engage around the toe of the skier's boot.
