Abstract

1,013,181. Boots &c. SOC. INDUSTRIELLE DU CAOUTCHOUC REGENERE. Dec. 11, 1963 [Dec. 14, 1962], No. 48898/63. Heading A3B. Reinforcements for safety boots are held in position during moulding of the boots by projections on the inner surface of the reinforcements which engage the mould core. The projections 2 may be pressed in the reinforcements 1 (Fig. 1) or may be resilient plugs 2a force fitted into apertures in the reinforcements 1a (Fig. 5). The reinforcements may be made from sheet metal and may have apertures to allow the passage of moulding material. The reinforcements may be incorporated at the toe, heel and shank of the boot.
