Abstract

1310886 Pneumatic conveyers COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS) Ltd 17 Nov 1970 [25 Nov 1969] 57624/69 Heading B8A A distributing device for use in the delivery of pulverulent fuel to a number of kiln chambers comprises a conical housing 9 with an inlet pipe 6 and a peripheral flange 11, and a plate 13 secured to the flange and having a conical deflector 16 with a plurality of apertures 17 and upstanding pins 19 alternately spaced around the base of the deflector. Pipes 20 are mounted in the apertures 17 and are connected by flexible pipes (25), Fig. 1 (not shown), to the respective kiln chambers. The fuel is supplied from a hopper 1 by a fan (23) supplying air through a plenum chamber (24) to an outlet valve (3) which is connected to the pipe 6.
