1347886 Pneumatic conveyers; delivering measured quantities of fluent material SEADYKE FREIGHT SYSTEMS Ltd 24 Aug 1971 39711/71 Headings B8A and B8N Apparatus for fluidizing pulverulent material comprises a housing 1 having a cylindrical chamber 2 with a rotor 4, a controllable material inlet 6 to gravity feed material to successive sectors of the rotor, an air inlet 7 to fluidize the material in each sector as it passes said inlet, and a material outlet (not shown) discharging to a material entraining chamber 8 coupled to a pneumatic feed tube 9 arranged wholly outside the chamber 2. That end of the chamber, or the rotor remote from the air inlet 7 has a conically shaped deflector 10 to direct the fluidized material into the entraining chamber 8. Provision may be made for cleaning material from behind the deflector 10 and for venting the material inlet.
