1310654 Linkwork ZAHNRADFABRIK FRIEDRICHSHAFEN AG 10 Aug 1971 [18 Aug 1970] 37510/71 Heading F2K [Also in Division F1] An accelerator operating device includes an accelerator pedal I which is connected by a connecting rod 3 and intermediate lever 5 to a rotatable shaft 6 which is connected to an injection pump or throttle control linkage 18, the shaft carrying a lever arrangement which is adjustable by a servo motor 15 so that the movement of the throttle or pump linkage 18 can be prevented. Normally the depression of pedal 1 causes movement of shaft 17 and clockwise pivoting of linkage 18. When pressure fluid is admitted to casing 11, e.g. on separation of an engine brake, the bell crank lever 13 is rotated until arm 16 abuts stop 9 so that pivot 21 is aligned with the axis of shaft 6 and unintentional depression of pedal 1 has no effect on linkage 18.
