1309853 Magnesite - chromite refractory ZDRUZENO PREDUZECE "MAGNOHROM" INDUSTRIJA VISOKOVATROSTALNOG MATERIJALA 23 March 1970 [21 March 1969] 14031/70 Heading C1.J Magnesite chromite bricks are made by pressing at >1000 Kp./cm.<SP>2</SP> and firing at 1550- 1760‹ C., preferably in the presence of a chemical binder, a mix containing (a) below 40% by wt. of a chromite made by calcining chromite having a SiO 2 content 75% and particle size >20 mm. and <250 mm. together with magnesite at 1600‹ C., separating the chromite from the magnesite and grinding it to a size 0-4 mm. so that # 30 % has size 0-1 mm. and #70% has a size 1-4 mm., and (b) below 30% by wt. of sintered magnesite made by sieving sintered granular magnesite, preferably that produced from making (a), to separate particles of size 0À5-5 mm., grinding the remainder to below 0À1 mm. and mixing the unground and ground magnesite in proportions of below 70% and below 30% respectively.
