Abstract
1308954 Valves NORDISK VENTILATOR CO AS 16 March 1970 [11 April 1969] 12593/70 Heading F2V [Also in Division F4] An air volume control device for maintaining constant an air flow volume per unit of time independently of the difference in air pressure between an inlet 2 and outlet 3 of the device comprises a pivoted flap 4 and a cam 8 fixed to the pivot pin 5 of the flap and connected to a spring 11 by a cord 10, whereby the torques exerted on the pin 5 by the air pressure and spring 11 are equal and opposite in any adjusted position of the flap 4. Two springs 11 and cams 8 may be provided, one pair at each end of the flap. A screw 13 is threaded into the spring 11, and a nut 14 held against a frame 12 permits adjustment of the effective length of the spring. The or each frame 12 may be adjustable to render the corresponding spring active or inactive, and may be moved to an active position by an electromagnet.
