Abstract

130,780. Hardaker, J. T. Aug. 10, 1918. Hand-trucks.-In hand-trucks of the kind having a lifting-frame with means for engaging the load so that the load can be raised from the ground for conveyance, the load-engaging means, which may be hooks 7 or clamping-devices, are mounted upon a framework 6 which spans the load and is secured to the lifting-framework 3. The framework 3 is connected by links 5 to the underframe C, and is adapted to be raised and lowered by a handle 4. The hooks 7 are connected by links 9 to a sliding rod 8, which is raised by a spring 11 to retract them and lowered by the hand-lever 12 to engage them. A handle C' is provided for wheeling the truck.
