Abstract

1307572 Concrete levelling apparatus H J AUSTIN 16 March 1970 [4 Aug 1969] 12644/ 70 Heading E1G Concrete-screeding apparatus comprises a propelling handle J pivoted to a power-vibrated frame carrying a central perforated pressing roller E and front and rear pivotal floats 16, 16a whose tilt is adjusted by twisting the handle J about its longitudinal axis to cause relative axial movement of two telescopic sleeve portions of the handle. The front and rear floats are adjustably interconnected by a turnbuckle link K, while the front float is adjustably linked to an adjustable-length lever assembly H which supports the handle and is rocked about a frame pivot by axial movement of the handle as it twists, such axial movement being caused by a cam slot mechanism, Figs. 2-5 (not shown) between the telescopic sleeve portions (108, 114). The handle height is determined by adjusting the length of lever assembly H. In a modification, Figs. 7-9 (not shown) the lever assembly H is replaced by a curved guide plate (Q) and the collar (162-164) through which the inner telescopic sleeve (114') slides is directly linked to the front float.
