1304203 Swimming pools S GREENE 30 Oct 1970 51796/70 Heading A4N [Also in Divisions B8 and F2] A lined swimming pool has at least one wall provided with adjustable wall member supports 6 each including an inner sleeve 14 telescopically associated with an outer sleeve 22 one end of which is pivotally connected to a fixed ground bar 30, a screw member 27 having its screw-threaded end-portion 12 extending into said inner sleeve at one end thereof and having its other end pivotally connected to said wall, a nut 10 on said screw-threaded portion 12 in abutting relation to said one end of the inner sleeve 14 providing for relative longitudinal movement of said sleeves in opposite directions selectively to exert or relieve pressure on said wall. A shock absorber is provided within the adjustable supporting means and comprises a resilient member 20 one end of which is abutted by a block 18 fixedly attached to the inner sleeve 14 by means of a pin 16, and the other end of which abuts a pivot block 29 secured in the outer sleeve 22. The pin 16 is slidingly received in a slot (26) Fig. 3 (not shown), in the outer sleeve 22.
