Abstract

1307289 Bulk containers J FROSSARD 7 Aug 1970 [7 Aug 1969] 38109/70 Heading B7B [Also in Division B8] The side walls of a container, particularly for refuse and which may be mounted in a vehicle for transportation, are strengthened by external girdles 14-22 and by curving them so as to be concave or convex relative to the container interior. The container is tapered from the rear at which a hinged door 33 is mounted and the girdle spacings 36-43 increase towards the front. The container is mounted on longitudinal girders 32 and cross-members 44-46 are provided to strengthen the central zone of the lower wall. The side walls may be joined by trapezium-shaped strips 51-54 thus avoiding sharp internal angles and imparting the conicity to the container.
