Abstract

1306692 Selective printing MOHAWK DATA SCIENCES CORP 15 May 1970 [30 Sept 1969] 23756/70 Heading B6F A type chain assembly comprises a belt 7 carrying type slugs 8 each having a groove 14, Fig. 4, receiving a tooth 13 on the outer surface of the belt. The slugs 8 each further comprise projections 11, 12, Fig. 3, between which extends a pin 16 in the form of an elongate coil spring to fix the slug to the belt. The belt is driven by gear-wheels such as 2, Fig. 4, notches in which alternately engage belt teeth 17 and the pins 16. The belt is employed in a high-speed printer wherein the belt is driven continuously past a row of print hammers.
