Abstract

1306629 Cabinets HERMAN MILLER Inc 11 Oct 1971 [12 Oct 1970] 47300/71 Heading A4B A moulded plastics storage unit comprises a frame having a back-wall 12 and two side walls 11 formed with integral guides 20 for drawers or shelves, and includes a door panel 60 provided at each side with a bracket 62 having a portion 63 extending laterally outwardly so that one of the flanges 21 may be received between the portion 63 and the door panel 60 to slidably guide the door 60 to and from an up-and-over, out of use position, the flange 21 having a front end extension 27, 28 which extends downwardly and rearwardly to provide a stop and a support for the bracket portion 63 when the door 60 is moved to the front of the frame and pivoted downwardly to the closing position. Each guide 20 comprises lower and upper flanges 21, 22 between which flanges 36 on the drawer are slidably engaged. A catch 39a on the drawer flange 36 is engagable with either a stop 23a or a recess 24 on the lower guide flange 21 in the extended or closed position of the drawer. The frame has an integral hook for hanging on a cart or rail. The frames have complementary formations on their upper and lower edges to facilitate stacking of like frames. The drawers are similarly adapted for stacking. A top cover may be provided for the frame.
