Abstract
1304557 Transformers FUJI DENKI SEIZO KK 8 Dec 1970 [11 Dec 1969] 58223/70 Heading HIT To minimise noise a heavy-duty transformer is placed in a noise shielding chamber and heat is taken from the transformer cooling oil by ejecting liquified gas such as nitrogen on to a pipe carrying the oil through a cooler. The cooler may be outside the chamber and the gas evolved discharged directly into the atmosphere or it may be inside the chamber and the gas discharged through a tall stack. The liquid nitrogen may be pumped or gravity fed and may cool the chamber interior also.
