Abstract

1303109 Valves INDUSTRIA NAZIONALE CARBURATORI DELL ORTO SpA 2 Feb 1970 [1 Feb 1969] 4925/70 Heading F2V [Also in Division F1] A valve needle, particularly for a carburetter float valve, comprises two parts 4, 5 mounted so as to be movable axially relative to one another, with a spring 13 interposed between them, one of the parts having a tappet 12 for engagement by a rocker arm or directly by a float whilst the other part terminates in an apex 8 of synthetic rubber or other resiliently deformable material for engaging the valve seat 2. The apex 8 is injection-moulded into a screw-threaded cavity 6. After the part 5 and spring 13 have been assembled into the part 4, a portion 14 of the latter is deformed to prevent separation. The spring 13 is of phosphor bronze, the other metal parts, including the valve body 1, being of German silver.
