[Also in Division F2] A spherical rotary plug valve of the type having a rotary member 5 and its actuating shaft 8 constituted by two independent elements and wherein the body 2 of the valve has a single smooth opening 10 for the passage of the actuating shaft 8, comprises means 13 connecting the shaft 8 to the rotary member 5 in a permanent manner only after the assembly of the two elements in the body of the valve. The permanent connection is preferably obtained by two successive operations: screwing the shaft 8 into the member 5 and then crimping the base of the shaft 8. Connection may also be made by riveting, adhesion, deformation, welding and pinning.
