1303057 Coating metal on one side IMPERIAL SMELTING CORP (NSC) Ltd 24 Nov 1970 [29 Sept 1969] 47745/69 Heading C7F Metal sheets 1 and 2 are coated on one major surface only by placing the rectangular flat sheets face to face with their longer axes of symmetry parallel but mutually displaced to provide uncovered margins at each longer side of the composite sheet, wrapping each margin over the edge of the other sheet to give the body shown, subjecting this to hot-dip galvanizing, and cutting off the margins at A and B to separate the component sheets. Two sheets of mild steel bent as shown may be pickled in HCl and hot-dipped in a Zn bath covered by a Zn Cl 2 flux layer.
