Abstract

1300361 Tin assemblies TAMPELLA AB OY 24 June 1971 [1] July 1970] 29755/71 Heading F3A A fin-assembly for fitting on to the tail pipe of a fin-stabilized mortar grenade comprises a carrier tube 2 from which outwardly tapered fins 3 extend radially, the side surfaces of the fins being formed with a plurality of longitudinally extending grooves 4, 5, 6 and ridges 7 and 8. The grooves extend rearwardly from a shoulder 9 which extends up to half or three quarters of the way along the fin. The front edges 3a and the rear edges 3b of the fins are tapered. The assembly is made of light metal alloy.
