1299854 Latches WILMOT-BREEDEN Ltd 1 Dec 1969. [3 Dec 1968] 57392/68 Heading E2A A vehicle door latch comprises a bolt 3. rotatable on a back plate 1, spring urged pivoted pawl 4 having one arm 7 engageable with the bolt, outer and inner release levers 10, 14 and a two armed locking lever 17 which has a waisted roller 29 engaging a slot 27 in one channel shaped end portion of an end link 19 of an inner remote control linkage such that actuating the locking lever 17 bodily displaces the link 19 so that a web 28 thereon is unable to contact a stud 24 on a pivoted release lever 22 when the link is actuated and therefore is unable to release the bolt. The locking lever may be actuated by rotating the link 19 in the reverse direction from that for releasing the bolt.
