1299506 Vehicle power steering ADWEST ENG Ltd 13 Oct 1971 [22 Oct 1970] 50262/70 Heading B7H An hydraulic, power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering gear comprises a rotary valve 1 having a housing 6, a valve sleeve 3 and a rotor member 2. Sleeve 3 is formed integrally with the pinion 4 which meshes with rack 5. Rotor member 2 has an extension 2a which receives one end of a torsion bar 8, the other end of which is secured in a counter-bore 9 in the valve sleeve 3.
