Abstract

1298231 Endless conveyers BERNARD COLLINS Ltd 1 April 1970 [11 July 1969] 35068/69 Heading B8A An endless slat conveyer is formed of a plurality of pivotally interconnected links each comprising a channel-shaped member whose sides 1, 2 extend beyond the ends of the web 6 to form lugs 3, 4 having apertures 5 therein to receive pivot-pins. A plastics moulding is formed around each link and extends transversely thereof to form a platform 8 of a slat. The plastics moulding also forms bosses between the lugs 3 and outwardly of lugs 4, the lugs 3 being closer than the lugs 4 whereby the lugs of adjacent links may interengage. The apertures 5 may be elongated to allow the conveyer to traverse curved paths and the platforms may have chamfered leading and trailing edges to allow overlap of adjacent platforms. Flight may be secured to the platforms.
