1310992 Endless conveyers J M BOYDELL 6 May 1970 [6 Feb 1969] 21720/70 Heading B8A In endless conveyers of the type comprising a series of links 10 each formed of a castellated strip or a plurality of spaced U-shaped members, Fig. 4 (not shown), and arranged in overlapping relation with adjacent links with transverse rods 12 passing through the overlapping portions, articles are discharged therefrom by a plurality of fingers 13 arranged transversely of the belt and extending longitudinally thereof and accommodated in recesses 15 such that the upper surface thereof is in the same plane or just below that of the conveying surface of the conveyer. In the embodiment of Fig. 4 the fingers (13) are arranged between the U-shaped members (20). In a further embodiment, Fig. 6 (not shown), wherein slats (25) are fixed to the conveyer, spaces (26) are arranged in the surface formed by the slats to accommodate the fingers.
