Abstract

1298051 Timing ignition; carburetters DR ING hcF PORSCHE K G 11 Jan 1971 [14 Jan 1970] 1284/71 Heading F1B A control device for the adjustment of the ignition timing of an internal-combustion engine during overrunning of the engine includes a diaphragm 19 arranged at an ignition distributer 20 of the engine, a carburetter 12 having a suction pipe 16, a vacuum line 17 connecting the suction pipe to a chamber associated with the diaphragm, which diaphragm is adapted to retard the ignition timing through adjusting linkage means, and an electromagnetic valve 15 in the vacuum line for varying the ignition timing adjustment, the valve being controlled by a first switch 1 dependent upon the rotational speed of the engine and a second switch 6 dependent upon the position of the throttle valve 13. A second diaphragm and chamber 18 may be provided in the vacuum line between the electromagnetic valve 15 and the diaphragm distributer 20, the second diaphragm being provided with a plunger 25 for controlling the no-load mixture of the carburetter during over-running.
