Abstract

1308804 Timing ignition SOC DE CONSTRUCTIONS MECANIQUES PANHARD & LEVASSOR 24 Feb 1970 [28 Feb 1969J 8844/70 Heading F1B An ignition device for a rotary piston internalcombustion engine comprises means 8 sensitive to the position of the throttle valve 2 and to the rotary speed of the engine and arranged so as to be able to cause ignition retard. The ignition is retarded if the degree of opening of the throttle valve 2 controlling the intake pipe of the engine is less than a predetermined limit PL and the rotary speed of the engine is greater than a predetermined limit. As shown, the member 3 sensitive to the position of the throttle valve 2 prevents any action of the means 8 upon the ignition advance while the degree of opening of the throttle valve is greater than PL. The device 8 is also not energized until a centrifugal device 7 driven by the engine closes the contacts 13, 14. Numerous modifications are described which are worked by engine suction and according to the position of the engine throttle valve. Specification 1300396 is referred to.
