Abstract

1,255,467. Timing ignition. HONDA GIKEN KOGYO K.K. April 2, 1970 [April 14, 1969], No.15747/70. Heading F1B. The ignition timing is arranged to be slightly advanced automatically if during idling an accessory is connected to be driven by the engine as shown, the switch 21 is automatically closed in response to connecting an accessory such as a car cooler to be driven by the engine, for example, in response to engagement of a clutch. Solenoid 19 is energized to actuate a valve 18 to vary the ignition timing of a vacuum operated ignition timing device. In a modifcation a switch connected with the ignition circuit, is used to vary the ignition timing.
