1297868 Current collection in dynamo-electric machines LENINGRADSKOE ELEKTROMASHINOSTROITELNOE OBIEDINENIE "ELEKTROSILA" IMENI S M KIROVA 21 July 1970 35161/70 Heading H2A A slip-ring assembly for a dynamo-electric machine comprises a slip-ring 12, Fig. 4, a conductive bar 13 attached to a current-distributing ring 11 which faces the slip-ring, and conductive gaskets 14-16 interposed between the slipring 12 and distributing ring 11 and extending symmetrically on either side of the bar 13. The gaskets 14, 15, 16 extend over not more than half the area of the facing surfaces of the slipring and distributing ring, and have increasing conductivities to ensure a more-uniform distribution of current to the slip-ring. In Fig. 4 the distributing ring 11 and gaskets are disposed concentrically within the slip-ring 12. In another embodiment, Fig. 1, they are flat rings 2, 5-7 disposed against an end face of the slipring 1, insulation 4 isolating the conductive bar 3 from direct contact with the slip-ring.
