1390962 Electric commutators BBC BROWN BOVERI & CO Ltd 13 June 1972 [15 June 1971] 27571/72 Heading H2A In a commutator of which the segments 1 are held together by at least one shrink ring, e.g. 6 or 7, an elastic layer 4 is disposed between the segments and a support member 2. The elastic layer may be of synthetic resin or resin impregnated glass fibre mat or cord. As shown an insulating layer 3 of glass fibre and/or mica is disposed between the elastic layer and the member 2.
