Moulding-machines; flasks; moulds; patterns. -In making moulds for casting chain as described in Specification 129,641, the patterns B and the flask 3 are modified so that the former are withdrawn first. The parts 5 are pivoted at 11 and withdrawn through holes 12, but the parts 6 are guided only by the curved holes 13 through which they are withdrawn by handles 14. During ramming, the parts 5, 6 are held by clamps 15, 16.
