Abstract
1295034 Thermal switches DANFOSS AS 5 Jan 1970 [14 Feb 1969] 372/70 Heading H1N A-snap action switch comprises a main arm 17 and an omega spring 19, arm 17 being acted upon by a pressure applying means 21 and by an adjusting spring 22 arranged alongside each other and acting on arm 17 on the same side and pressing it towards a pivoting bearing 15, disposed between them on the opposite side. Means 21 is a bellows provided at its open end with a union 28. Adjusting spring 22 is mounted on a threaded bolt 29 provided at its upper end with a rotary knob 30, Fig. 1 (not shown), and provided at its lower end with a washer 32 having a pointer 14, Fig. 1, projecting through a slot 13, Fig. 1, in the casing to prevent rotation of washer 32 and also serve as an indicator. One side of omega spring 19 bears against a knife-edge bearing 20 secured to a slide 23 the printer of which can be adjusted by a cam disc displaced by spindle 24. If required, a catch 54, Fig. 5 (not shown), or 54<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 6 (not shown), can be provided each with a shoulder engaging the end of arm 17 and each moved away from arm 17 by a pushbutton 59, Fig. 5, to limit the thermostat at a low or high limiting temprature. The contact assembly 38, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown), is a one-piece unit slid in from the right behind the snap-action assembly with terminals 40 projecting to the right for access, the contacts being accommodated in a casing 39 and comprising leafspring moving contacts 46, 47, Fig. 4, on either side of a central fixed contact 45, Fig. 4, contacts 46, 47 being moved by an actuator 37, Fig. 3, secured to the left hand end of arm 17. An outer cover 10 ,Fig. 1, fits over the assembly closing the open right hand end of the casing. The switch is an evaporator thermostat.
