Abstract

129,491. Keith, J., and Keith, G. Aug. 10, 1918. Gas distribution systems.-In a railway vehicle &c. gas-lighting system, a single injector A supplying a self-burning mixture to a group of lamps is fitted inside the casing of, preferably, the central lamp, so as to be subjected to the same variations of air pressure as the burner of that lamp. Gas, preferably under high pressure, is supplied to the injector pipe C and, after mixing with the air, passes through a pipe E to a main pipe F, from which it is distributed to the burners through connexions which may be fitted with means for controlling the amount of mixture delivered to compensate for the unequal distances of the burners from the injector A. The quality of the mixture may be varied by means of an airregulating device D, while observing the burner B.
