1294863 Laminates COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE DE RAFFINAGE 8 Dec 1969 [12 Dec 1969] 59840/69 Heading B5N [Also in Division B8] A cap for stoppering plastics bottles for sterilized milk of the type shown, where 3 is a layer of metal foil, and 5 is a copolymer, comprises a copolymer layer of grafted copolymer obtained by polymerizing a mono-olefin having 2 or 3 carbon atoms and grafting a small quantity, e.g. 1% by wt. of an unsaturated monoethylenic carboxylic acid thereon. The metal foil may be aluminium with a thickness less than 200 Á. The grafted polymer may have a thickness between 10 and 100 Á. The unsaturated monoethylenic carboxylic acid may be acrylic acid or methacrylic acid. French Specification 1,255,947 is referred to.
