Abstract
1440583 Cross-linked resins ROHM & HAAS CO 22 June 1973 [29 June 1972] 04010/76 Divided out of 1440582 Heading C3P Cross-linked copolymers comprise more than 50 wt. per cent of monovinyl aromatic units and, as cross-linking co-monomers, both trimethylolpropane trimethaerylate and divinylbenzene in a weight ratio from 4 : 1 to 2 : 1. In examples, styrene is copolymerized with said cross-linking monomers in an aqueous dispersion containing polyacrylic acid dispersant and gelatin, and of pH 10-10À5, in the presence of benzoyl peroxide. In Example 2, methylisobutyl carbinol is additionally present as solvent.
