Abstract

1294350 Injection moulding bearings SVENSKA KULLAGERFABRIKEN AB 28 Nov 1969 [29 Nov 1968] 58401/69 Heading B5A [Also in Division F2] The resilient mounting 2 of an outer race ring 3 of a rolling bearing is made by taking a housing 1 which has two cylindrical seating surfaces for the race ring 3 separated by a groove 4 with apertures 5 in its base, inserting a mandrel 6 into the housing 1 until a groove 7 is opposite the groove 4, and placing the housing 1 into a mould. A hot rubber mass is then injected into the mould to form the resilient mounting 2. The mandrel 6 is then withdrawn axially and the outer race 3 inserted. The housing 1 may have two or more rows of apertures, the corresponding mandrel 6 having a single wide groove or several narrow ones.
