Abstract

1294247 Plastics storage casks; stoppers &c MAUSER KG 11 March 1970 [23 April 1969] 11697/70 Headings B8D and B8T A blow moulded stackable plastics cask 1 is provided with bung-hole defining necks 5 and 6, which are located in recesses 3 defined in a peripheral stacking surface surrounding a raised central zone of the cask top and which extend upwardly to the plane of the stacking surface, and with reinforcing bridging struts 7 connecting the rims of the necks to the raised central zone of the cask top. The necks are each constructed to define a conical seating 11 for a sealing ring 9 of a bung 10, Fig. 3, screwed into each respective neck. The bung has a cylindrical extension 13, which provides a supplementary seal with the reduced lower portion of the neck, and is covered by a cap 14. A lifting eye 2 is also provided in the cask top. The necks lie in the plane of the mould parting seam formed on moulding the container.
