Abstract

1293621 Complex sulphate AGFA-GEVAERT AG 15 April 1970 [23 April 1969] 17941/70 Heading C1A [Also in Division G2] 100 parts of zirconium sulphate containing 23% of ZrO 2 , 1 mole of silicic acid and 1 mole of sodium sulphate per mole of ZrO 2 and having a basicity of 10% are stirred with 200 parts of water and mixed with an aqueous solution of 21À5 parts of aluminium sulphate (containing 15% of Al 2 O 3 ) and 8À9 parts of a chromium (III) sulphate lye. (containing 18% of Cr 2 O 3 and having a basicity of 44%) in about 30 parts of water. The mixture is heated to 80‹ C., cooled and dried by the spray drying process. The powder obtained contains the metal oxides ZrO 2 : Al 2 O 3 : Cr 2 O 3 in the ratio 100 : 14 : 7.
