1291306 Twisting yarns into single threads LENINGRADSKY NAUCHNO-ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT TEXTILNOI PROMYSHLENNOSTI 17 April 1970 18403/70 Heading D1T A device for twisting yarns together comprises a plurality of double-twist delivery spindles 1, a cabling bath 2 through which the yarns from the spindles 1 pass, immovable guide rods 3 with collars at their ends in the bath 2, the yarns passing around said rods, a two-for-one twister 4, 15, 17, 18 mounted above the bath 2 and through which the yarns pass to twist them into a single strand, and a grooved drum 5 in the two-for-one twister for traversing the resultant yarn 16 onto a bobbin 10. The drum 5 drives the package 10. The rings 17 are to limit ballooning of the yarn 16. The axes of the spindles 1 are equally spaced from the spindle 4 and are disposed in planes passing through the axis of the spindle 4. The apparatus includes thread guides 11 and a stop-motion 12.
