Abstract

1291035 Chain saw lubrication F DAVISON 1 May 1971 12572/71 Heading B5L [Also in Division F1] A pump for supplying lubricating oil to the cutting chain of a chain saw comprises a spring- loaded piston F reciprocated by an eccentric or cam B on the chain saw engine crank-shaft A, the piston controlling an inlet port J in the cylinder H, which is axially movable by screw T in plug W to adjust the effective stroke of the piston. The pump draws oil from reservoir N via inlet O, and delivers it to the chain guide bar mounting S via check valve K, port M and passage P. 0-rings V 1 , V 2 , V 3 prevent leakage.
