Abstract

1290650 Band injection filters WESTERN ELECTRIC CO Inc 5 Aug 1969 [7 Aug 1968] 6468/72 Divided out of 1200953 Heading G2J [Also in Division H1] A band-injection filter specifically for "optical" frequencies comprisis a first transmission line and at least one "resonant cavity" (as disclosed a material having a higher respective index than the substrate on which it is mounted) comprising a second transmission line disposed to form a directional coupler with the first transmission line, and reactive termination loops at each end of the second transmission line. The direction of coupler is that disclosed in Specification 1288953. A channel-dropping filter is also disclosed, and involves a second "resonant cavity" coupled to the first transmission line.
