Abstract

1289975 Stripping coated Ti electrodes IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd [7 Dec 1970 [12 Dec 1969] 60764/69 Headings C7D and C7E Coatings of Pt group metal oxides and TiO 2 are stripped from Ti electrodes by immersion in an acid or alkaline aqueous solution containing 0À3-3% wt. H 2 O 2 at 60-80‹C. for 1¢ hrs. minimum and then immersing in 20-32% wt. HCl at 60-80‹ C. In the examples the H 2 O 2 solution contains H 2 SO 4 , oxalic acid or KOH and the coating weight amounts to 15-20g/m<SP>-</SP> of the Ti surface.
