1289438 Soluble coffee GENERAL FOODS CORP 19 April 1971 [19 March 1970] 23966/71 Heading A2B A spray-dried soluble coffee with a bland base flavour and no off flavours is obtained by forming an aqueous extract of roasted coffee solids 'having a concentration of 14-23% solids, and spray drying at a maximum droplet size of 100-300 microns, the air inlet temperature being 300-600‹F, the air outlet temperature being 190-230‹F, and the temperature of the extract at the dryer inlet being 40-200‹F.
