Abstract

1287226 Continuous casting NIPPON KOKAN KK 4 Nov 1970 [19 Nov 1969] 52452/70 Heading B3F Continuous casting apparatus comprises a mould 7, a tundish 1 and a coupling piece 6 secured to both the tundish and the mould. This connection is reinforced by metal pieces 9 supported on pedestals 10 which oscillate in a vertical direction and thus bring about oscillation of both the mould and the tundish. Cooling jackets 8 for the mould 7 are located between the members 9 and the mould.
