Abstract
1287155 Pipe couplings GERMANY MINISTER OF TRANSPORT 26 Nov 1969 57909/69 Index F2P 23B P23F P27 [Also in Division B7] A coupling between an air line associated with an automatic central buffer coupling element on one railway vehicle and an air line pipe 1 associated with a rail vehicle having a draw-hook screw coupling member comprises a pawl 5 pivoted to the pipe 1 and engaging a stop 15 by means of a claw 6 at its other end. The pawl 5 has an upwardly extending arm 7 co-operating with an uncoupler 8, and a spring 4 holds the pawl in its locking position and the arm 7 towards the uncoupler. A support 2 is integral with the pipe 1 and masks a second air line in the buffer coupling element. On uncoupling, the arm 7 is pushed from the buffer coupling element by the uncoupler 8 and after the catch 6 is disengaged the spring 4 helps the pipe 1 to spring away from the housing 13.
