Abstract

1286826 Rollers NIPPON STEEL CORP 25 Sept 1969 [25 Sept 1968] 47232/69 Heading F2U [Also in Division C7] For use in an electrolytic treating solution (e.g. having about 50 g./l. of CrO 3 and 0À5 g./l. of H 2 SO 4 for electroplating) a roller comprises a core 1 (e.g. a Cu shell reinforced by steel plates and having in a steel shaft 2 a passage 8 for cooling fluid) having a metal sleeve 4 (e.g. of stainless steel or another steel with a Ni or Cr coating 5 which is not corroded by the solution and is provided with a layer 6 of Cu or Cu alloy on its inside surface which surrounds and grips the cylindrical surface of the core.
