Abstract
1286726 Piles TOT AANNEMING VAN WERKEN VOORHEEN H J NEDERHORST NV 1 June 1970 [19 June 1969] 26332/70 Heading E1H To form a concrete pile in situ a sheet-metal shoe 1 is driven into the ground with the aid of a tube 2, a chamber 10 between the shoe and the tube being first filled with concrete 11. When the shoe has reached the desired depth concrete 12 is poured down the tube and the latter withdrawn, the shoe being thus detached and the concrete 12 allowed to unite with the concrete 11. The central part 3 of the shoe is dished, as shown, and joined to a flolded flange 5 by annular parts 4, 6 to fit the tube. In plan view the flange has substantially the shape of any regular stellated hexagon or other polygon. The shoe may be formed from a sheet-metal blank that is either polygonal or circular in shape. In a second embodiment, Figs. 5 to 8 (not shown), the part 6 is omitted and folds along lines 9 abut the tube when the shoe is thereon.
